At the moment the project of translating the Bible of the Reformation is in process. Apart of the project is financed by some Protestant Churches, but it is very important to create a network of supporters. For more information see the pages dedicated to the BIR.
. One Bible a month
The program “One Bible a month” aims at offering to committed Christians a regular and systematic means to share the Bible with those who are in more need of it. Even if up until today millions of Bibles have been distributed throughout the world, our job increases more and more every day and is always more expensive! Unfortunately Bibles are still lacking in many countries. Many Christians live their whole lives without ever having owned a copy of the Word of God.
You can send an offering of €5.00 a month, but you can even give €10.00, €15.00 and more. (click here)
We suggest the amount of €5.00 because this is the average cost to print and distribute a Bible outside of Italy.
. Bread of life (an educational project in Peru)
Since 1999 the Bible Society in Italy has launched a program for gathering funds in support of the project “Bread of life”, carried on by the Peruvian Bible Society together with the non government organization MISIUR and some Peruvian Christian Churches. The project “Bread of Life” was thought out as a means of helping poor children of Peru with food and teaching them to read and write, but above all letting them know that they have a Father who loves them and guides them. The funds sent to the Bible Society in Italy have up until now permitted that more than 500 children are part of this program that is carried out in four districts of Lima.
The cost for giving a child a meal a day for a year and books with Bible stories to read and to learn to write is €20.00 a month. (click here)
