New Revised Version of the Bible
The old Diodati translation, published in Geneva in 1607 and revised by the author in 1641, is the classic Protestant version of the Bible in the Italian language and for over four centuries has inspired and guided Protestant thought. Revised several times through these centuries, a thorough and linguistically critical revision was made toward the end of the nineteenth century with the Revised version of Giovanni Luzzi (1924) which was followed by a New Revised Version (1994).
