The Interdenominational Translation in Modern Language (Tilc), published in 1985, is not a formal but rather a “dynamic equivalence” translation that tries to render the meaning of the text in the Italian spoken language of today without a literal attachment to the original text and without jargon. It is an interdenominational translation in that it is done together by Catholics and Protestants and published, promoted and distributed together. It contains the deuterocanonical books, provided with an introduction on their importance in the various churches, gathered inserted between the Old and New Testaments. The Tilc, now revised, has had a great editorial success with at least 10 million copies (between Bibles, New Testaments, selections and portions of books from the Scriptures).
